Singaporean home away from home

Great location and a great place to come back to at the end of the day. We were able to cook, do washing and relax.

No issues. We were informed before we arrived that there was construction next door. It did not bother us as you could not hear the works

It was the best for our grandchildren and for us a lot more frustrating than needed to be, also extremely expensive.

I loved the pool, the rooms were lovely but getting old and looking it, the staff were exceptional with everything, we had a light breakfast left in the kitchen as we flew in at 11pm and were very grateful for that as my granddaughter needed food at 6am for medicine, the Koi fish were adorable. A lot of feedback I had was I was in an excellent position but we spent most of our time on Sentosa Island with Universal Studios, Aquarium, waterpark even shopping at VivoCity was better than Orchard road. We did do China town, the Bay of Gardens, the Botanical Gardens and overall Singapore is without a doubt the best place for children.

I know the amount we paid was astronomical and definitely NOT worth it, I don’t know how old the place is, but looks old. It was comfortable but the beds were like sleeping on a block of concrete, my back was so painful, no matter what bed I was in (there were three beds) I had to swim lots of laps each day so that I could to ease my back pain. There was a building going up that they didn’t inform us until the day we flew out and that was pretty noisy because we were overlooking the work site. We had to get a taxi to the resort from the airport because they don’t do pick ups unless you want to pay 10 times what the taxi was worth, so it is worthwhile looking yourself as to what the best way to get around is. We also got a 3 day tourist card which enabled us to use the buses and train services unlimited to anywhere in Singapore, which again was way cheaper than taxis.

Excellent family vacations spot to park and enjoy

Location was central and great. Cinemas, dining and shopping close by. Excellent quiet walking path from botanical gardens back along Nassim road. Very child friendly with good activities. Of course the Shangrila hotel breakfast

Pricing ? To make the stays longer !! Otherwise great in all ways . Keep it going. Really can’t add anything to it.

The location was very ideal for us to get around by walking. Very central.for.us.

Housekeeping was very bad. Very disappointing for Shangri-la standard. Floor was sticky, and I feel that the room was not cleaned as it should with regards to putting things in order. For instance, I still found dirty mugs when I came back in the late afternoon. Also, when I requested a technician to check on the AC because the room was super hot and humid no.one came for 2 days. It seems the reception conveniently forgot the request. I didn't appreciate it of Shangri-la

Overpriced and much less than expected quality

Quite neighborhood Comfy bed

It's dirty, many spots on the tables. No toiletries provided. No other amenities provided. It's under staffed, have to wait very long time to get my delivery order to my apartment because only 1 person running around doing stuff. In addition, when checked in no bellhop to help with luggage he was on a break and no one to replace him. Front desk take long time to answer the phone.

An amazing treat for baby's first holiday

The apartments are beautiful and perfect for a family holiday. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved being able to walk through the gardens of the adjoining hotel.

The area is very posh and commercial but it's super easy to travel to all the other main areas.

Big Shock!!

It was an apartment with sufficient space - living dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. With a good view. And room delivery which we used every day. Plus no restaurants on site so felt safe without walk in guests during this Covid period. Has SG Secure rating.

I booked a stay from July 22 to 28. In the middle of my stay, we decided to return home one evening. We returned to the apartment the next day at 3:30pm and was SHOCKED THAT IT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED. THE USED DISHES WERE AS I HAD LEFT THEM the previous day AND THE BED NOT MADE AND THE BATHROOM NOT CLEANED. I had paid for the entire stay in advance. It’s certainly not what I expect of a 5 star apartment. The apartment and staff would have received top rating except for this event which spoilt our stay.

Very good for family stay

Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and very clean. Breakfast, under Covid-19 situation was restricted in terms of choice, however was very well made. It met all international standards

We really enjoyed and it was indeed a very comfortable stay.

I like the room, layout and the view. The location is excellent and it is one of the main reasons why we chose this property. In addition the staff have been very helpful, courteous, understanding and accommodative.

They can do a better job with house keeping, however given the current circumstances we understand some of the constraints and challenges that the hotel is going through. Therefore it is not a big deal.

The best apartments in Singapore?

This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in. It's just 5 minutes from the end of Orchard Road. Cleaning is daily, sheet and towel change every couple days. The apartment is spacious by Singapore standards and nicely furnished, the beds are comfy, the kitchen well-equipped. The pool is really nice,with plenty of tables an drecliners; the gym in the main hotel is fantastic, probably the best gym we've ever been in. Some examples of the many thoughtful touches: there is a free coffee machine in reception that does very good lattes and espressos; there are washers and driers on each floor - the ones in the basement have free detergent; the slippers are fluffy and come in two sizes for men and women; the robes are luxurious Japanese cotton; there are 4 bottles of water delivered free to the apartment every day.

Breakfast is expensive, but you can buy a croissant or a Danish in the hotel's lobby bakery and get a free latte from the coffee macine

Exceptional

Location and peaceful surroundings, part of the old Singapore. Though the rooms are now looking a bit out dated, very much 70s style 5 star luxury, the attention to detail is still very high. It is on par to its sister hotel next door which I use to stay in on business, for service and the polite approach by all the staff. It makes you feel welcome.
